REACH is a European regulation directed to the registration of chemicals, in order to improve knowledge of the hazards and risks of human health and the environment, promote the development of alternative methods to those that require the use of vertebrate animals for the hazard assessment, maintain and strengthen the competitiveness and innovative capacity of the chemical industry.

It establishes the obligation to prepare a dossier on chemicals placed on the market, both as raw materials and articles. Under certain conditions the dossier must be submitted to the responsible European agency ECHA control, which can allow or restrict the use of certain substances, such as those already identified in the list SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern).

 

The REACH statement is based on the analysis of the production process, on profiling in the producer / importer / distributor / end user for the determination of obligations, on the analysis of the materials used and their security specifications (SDS).
